Network information

The Network Information tab displays details about the SIM's network connection and usage.

Use this tab to view a SIM's APN logs.

APN logs

The APN log is a historical record of the SIM-generated IP traffic. The log includes the following information:

  • SIM credentials used to access the APN
  • Start and stop dates and times for each session
  • Mobile codes that identify the network accessed during each session (if provided by the network operator)
  • SIM's IP address, either fixed or dynamic
  • Total amount of data the SIM sent during the session (mobile originated)
  • Total amount of data the SIM received during the session (mobile terminated)
  • Reason for the termination of each session

You can view an APN log on-screen within the Connectivity Management platform, or download an Excel, CSV, or JSON file.

Viewing why APN sessions ended

The APN log specifies the reason why a SIM's session on the APN ended. The following table defines the reasons that an APN session was terminated.

Name Reason why the session ended
Username The user name that the SIM used to connect to the APN.
Password
  • If Password Authentication Protocol is enabled, this column details the password that was used by the SIM to access the APN.

  • If Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol is enabled, the password will be hidden.

Start The date and time at which the SIM started its APN session.
Stop The date and time at which the SIM ended its APN session.
Network
  • Displays the Mobile Country Code and Mobile Network Code of the network operator that the SIM connected to.

  • Displays N/A if no code has been supplied to Connectivity Management by the network operator.

IP Indicates whether the SIM connected to the APN using a fixed or dynamic IP address.
MO data (MB)

This column lists the total amount of mobile originated data that was transferred during the session.

This value is expressed in megabytes. Mobile originated data is data that has been sent from the SIM.

MT Data (MB) This column lists the total amount of mobile terminated data that was transferred during the session. This value is expressed in megabytes. Mobile terminated data is data that has been received by the SIM.
Data (MB) This column lists the amount of data, expressed in megabytes, that was transferred during the session.
Reason This column lists the reason why the session was terminated.
