Manage nicknames
The nickname of a SIM is an optional custom identifier that helps you to differentiate between SIMs more easily.
Note: Nicknames have a maximum length of 191 characters.
Info: You can use the Bulk actions feature add a nickname to multiple SIMs at the same time.
Add a nickname
You can add a nickname to a SIM during the activation process, or after the SIM has been activated. This topic explains how to add a nickname to an active SIM.
1. Select a SIM.
- To select a SIM from a list, on the main navigation panel, select SIMs, select a status, and then select a SIM from the list.
If you know the SIM's ICCID, or MSISDN you can use the Search bar.
Result: The platform displays the SIM management page, Details tab.
2. On the SIM Details panel, select the Edit button.
Result: The platform unlocks the form so that you can edit it.
3. Enter a nickname in the Nickname field, and then select the save icon.
Result: The platform displays a confirmation message and the nickname is added to the panel.
Edit or delete a nickname
1. Select a SIM.
- To select a SIM from a list, on the main navigation panel, select SIMs, select a status, and then select a SIM from the list.

2. On the SIM Details panel, select the Edit button.
Result: The platform unlocks the form so that you can edit it.
3. On the SIM Details panel, you can edit or delete a SIM's nickname.
4. To edit the nickname, enter a new nickname in the Nickname field, and then select the save icon.
Result: The platform displays a confirmation message and the new nickname is added to the panel.
5. To delete the nickname, delete it from the Nickname field, and then select the save icon.
Result: The platform displays a confirmation message and removes the nickname from the panel.
