Associate a subscriber with a device

You can associate a subscriber with a specific device. If you create a device association, the Connectivity Management platform notifies you if a subscriber is moved to a different device.

You create a device association by adding the device's IMEI number to the subscriber using the Details tab.

Note:
  • This functionality is only compatible with operators who report IMEI numbers to Connectivity Management.

Create a device association

1. Select a subscriber.

  • To select a subscriber from a list, on the main navigation panel, select Subscribers, select a status, and then select a subscriber from the list.

  • If you know the subscriber's ICCID, or MSISDN you can use the Search bar.

Result: The platform displays the subscriber management page, Details tab.

2. On the Subscriber Details panel, select the Edit button.

Result: The platform unlocks the form so that you can edit it.

3. Enter the device's IMEI in the IMEI field, and then select the save icon.

Result: The platform displays a confirmation message and adds the IMEI to the panel.

Edit or delete a device association

1. Select a subscriber.

  • To select a subscriber from a list, on the main navigation panel, select Subscribers, select a status, and then select a subscriber from the list.

  • If you know the subscriber's ICCID, or MSISDN you can use the Search bar.

Result: The platform displays the subscriber management page, Details tab.

2. On the Subscriber Details panel, select the Edit button.

Result: The platform unlocks the form so that you can edit it.

3. Edit or delete the IMEI in the IMEI field, and then select the save icon.

Result: The platform displays a confirmation message and updates or removes the IMEI.
